Three injured after fire on 22nd floor of high rise flats
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attended the blaze in the early hours of Friday.
Three people have been injured after an early morning fire in a high rise block of flats in Glasgow.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue service attended the scene on Kirkton Avenue, Knightswood, after reports of a blaze on the 22nd floor of the flats.
Four fire and one aerial appliance were mobilised at around 5am on Friday.
Emergency services were also in attendance and the three casualties were passed on to the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.
Two were then taken to hospital. Their current condition is unknown at this time.
The SFRS have now left the scene after the fire was extinguished.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: "We were alerted to a fire at Kirkton Avenue, Knightswood at 4:56am this morning to reports of a fire within a flat.
"Four fire and one aerial appliance were mobilised to the scene where crews extinguished a fire on a 22nd floor property.
"There were three casualties which were passed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance service.
"Two of which were transported to hospital."
