Passenger hurt and driver charged after car hits pole
Police appeal for witnesses after car leaves road and ends up on roof.
A driver was charged after a car left the road and struck a telegraph pole - leaving its passenger in hospital.
The vehicle ended up on its roof following the crash on the B705 near Auchinleck, East Ayrshire, around 4.20pm on Monday.
Police said a 24-year-old man had been charged and later released, while a 20-year-old man was being treated in hospital in Glasgow.
Sergeant Ian Thornton, of Ayrshire Road Policing, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the crash.
“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area around the time of the crash to contact us.
"In particular, if you have a dash cam, please check your footage as it could have captured footage which could assist us in our investigation.”
