An elderly man has gone missing from his home in Glasgow shortly after his wife's death.

Julien Lepowski, 72, who was "struggling to come to terms" with his wife's recent death, was last seen by a neighbour on Saturday, November 24.

Despite extensive searches of CCTV and public transport, he has not been seen since.

Mr Lepowski is described as around 5ft, with a slim build, short grey hair and a goatee beard.

Police say they are growing "increasingly concerned" for him and have appealed for anyone who may have seen him to come forward.

It is possible he may be driving a red Vauxhall Agila car with the registration number SP58 ZDU.

Mr Lepowski has often visited the Trossachs area and police believe he may have travelled there.

Sergeant Bart Simonis said: "We are growing increasingly concerned for Julien.

"His family and friends just want to know he is safe and well.

"His wife recently died and we know he has been struggling to come to terms with that. If anyone has seen Julien or has any information as to his whereabouts, then please do contact us."

Anyone with information is asked to contact 101.
