Injured swan on M8 causes rush hour traffic tailback
The bird has been rescued by emergency services and will be taken to the SSPCA.
An injured swan has caused long queues on the M8.
Traffic Scotland became aware of the bird at 8.01am on Tuesday.
They initially tweeted that the swan was "chillin on the carriageway" at J16 Craighall eastbound. At 8.15am, an update stated that "the poor wee soul is injured" but had been moved to the side of the road by police.
By 8.36am, the area had been cleared and the bird had been taken away.
The Scottish SPCA has been made aware of the incident.
Drivers have been warned to expect delays, with traffic tailed back to J26 Hillington.
