Witness appeal after man dies in road crash near farm
The 65-year-old was driving on the A77 when he crashed on Tuesday afternoon.
A man has died in a crash on a major road in Dumfries and Galloway.
The 65-year-old was driving a white Peugeot 207 on the A77 Stranraer to Portpatrick road, near to Lochans, Stranraer, on Tuesday when the crash took place at around 3.30pm.
Emergency services attended the scene near Craigendarroch Farm, Lochans and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are now looking to establish the full circumstances of the crash and have appealed for potential witnesses to come forward.
Sergeant Bob McNay of the Roads Policing Unit said: "We are keen to speak with anyone who was in this area at that time and who may have information, or dash cam footage, regarding this incident.
"We are especially keen to speak with the driver of a vehicle travelling on the A77 heading towards Portpatrick, who we believe may have witnessed the incident, which was near to Craigendarroch Farm, Lochans.
