A teenager has appeared in court charged with attempting to murder a man.

The 15-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of carrying out the murder bid on October 26.

He is charged with assaulting a 24-year-old to his severe injury, danger of life and attempted murder.

The injured man was found at the entrance of Cadogan Square car park on Cadogan Street.

The schoolboy, from Glasgow, appeared in private from custody at the city's sheriff court where he made no plea.

He was released on bail and is expected to return to court at a later date.
