A search has been launched for a man who has been missing for a week.

Hasanat Muhammad Mahmood, 21, was last seen leaving his family home on Herriet Street, Glasgow on Thursday, July 19.

He has since missed a medical appointment and takes daily medication, which he may not have in his possession.

He has an Asian appearance, is of slim build, around 5ft 10in, clean shaven, with brown eyes and short black hair.

He was last seen wearing a grey hooded jacket and white Jordan trainers.

Chief inspector Ross Allan said: "It is unusual for Hasanat not to be in touch with his family or friends for such a long period of time and we are anxious to hear from anyone who has any knowledge of his current whereabouts.
