A search is under way for two children who have been missing for two days.

Police are appealing for information to the whereabouts of Vanessa Cinova, 15, and 12-year-old William Hill who were last seen at their home address in Sandilands, Lanark at around 9pm on Sunday.

Both youngsters have been missing before and are suspected to be together.

Teenager Vanessa is described as being 5ft 2ins with a medium build, sallow skin and long brown hair.

When she was last seen she was wearing white Adidas joggers, silver velvet zipper top, a gold jacket and Nike trainers.

She has been known to spend time in the Govanhill area of Glasgow.

William is also around 5ft 2 in height with a slim build, fair skin, freckles and short sandy coloured hair.

He was wearing a grey tracksuit and black trainers.

William has been known to spend time in the Ayr and Lanark areas.

Constable Suzanne Adamson from Lanark Police Station said: "As time goes on we are growing increasingly concerned for the wellbeing of Vanessa and William and it is vital that we trace them as soon as possible.

"I would appeal for anyone with information regarding their whereabouts to contact Lanark Police Station via 101."
