Five puppies abandoned in shed in 'incredibly cruel act'
The border collie puppies were discovered in a shed on a street in Dumfries and Galloway.
Five puppies have been abandoned in a shed overnight in an "incredibly cruel act".
The border collie puppies were found in a shed in Main Street in Sandhead, Dumfries and Galloway.
The puppies were named Skye, Arran, Barra, Ailsa and Iona by staff at the Scottish SPCA's rescue and rehoming centre in Ayr.
Scottish SPCA inspector Paul Tuchewicz said: "This was an incredibly cruel act and we are very keen to trace the person who left these puppies alone and frightened.
"They were hungry when they were found but are in good bodily condition."
He added: "They're all beautiful puppies and we're sure there will be no shortage of people wanting to offer them a new home.
"If anyone can help us trace the person who owned them we would urge them to come forward."
