Volunteer cleaners step up efforts as people flock to beach
Friends of Troon Beaches meet every Wednesday and Sunday to clean the beach.
As much of Scotland basks in sunshine, a group of volunteers in Ayrshire are stepping up their efforts to keep their local beach clean.
Troon has become a hot spot in recent years for beach parties - with thousands of people heading to the seaside to enjoy the sunshine.
Friends of Troon Beaches meet every Wednesday and Sunday for an hour in attempt to keep the beach litter free, but as the number of visitors increases, it is particularly difficult.
Olivia Johnstone from Friends of Troon Beaches said : "You can sit at home and moan and get worked up or you can do something positive.
"We were all teenagers once. They do what they do, and we do what we do."
The group post their interesting rubbish finds on their Facebook page.
