Police are reappearing for information on the whereabouts of a criminal who breached his licence after being released from prison.

Dennis Duffy, 36, was last seen in May 2017 after his release from HMP Castle Huntly near Dundee.

Duffy's disappearance is in breach of the terms of his licence after release and police are now trying to track him down.

Police said Duffy is thought to have connections in the Seafar area of Cumbernauld, where he once lived.

He is described as white, around 5ft 10 in height and has brown hair and blue eyes.

Members of the public are urged not to approach Duffy but to report any sightings to police.

Constable Alan Hendry from Cumbernauld Police Office, said: "We are currently looking to trace Dennis Duffy, who breached his licence conditions since being release from HMP Castle Huntly.

"We are appealing for anyone who has any information regarding his whereabouts to come forward and contact us.

"We would also emphasise that if seen, members of the public should not approach him and should contact Police Scotland on 101."
