Almost 40 miles of roads to be repaired in East Ayrshire
The works will concentrate on those carriageways most in need of repair, the council said.
Almost 40 miles of roads in East Ayrshire are to be resurfaced.
The works will concentrate on those carriageways most in need of repair, the council said.
Its Roads Maintenance Unit will repair potholes, defects and surface fragmentation throughout the summer.
The works will involve resurfacing substantial stretches of road rather than conducting temporary repairs on isolated patches and potholes.
Beginning on June 11, the team will resurface 620m of surface between Mansheugh Road, Main Road and Kirkton Road.
The following week, 1500m of Neilston Road in Dunlop will be repaired.
The team will then tackle the C22 and Riverside Gardens in Cronberry and Irvine Road and Yardside Road in Kilmaurs.
On behalf of East Ayrshire Council, the Ayrshire Roads Alliance has apologised in advance for any disruption caused by the works.
