New employability scheme for youngsters with disabilities
Programme SEARCH is looking to recruit interns to give them personalised support.
Young people in East Ayrshire with learning disabilities are being offered a place in a new employability scheme.
The programme called SEARCH is looking to recruit interns to give them intensive, personalised support to prepare them for work.
Interns will spend their day at University Hospital Crosshouse where they will explore a variety of jobs and career paths.
The scheme for people aged between 17 and 29 is being run by a partnership between the council, Ayrshire College, and the local health board.
An open day will be held on Thursday, April 26 from 1pm to 6pm, and applications must be submitted by May 31.
