Charity Garden Opening: Townend of Kirkwood, Stewarton
Townend of Kirkwood is a new garden started on three acres of wet field in 2013.
There is an excellent range of interesting shrubs and young trees.
To the rear of the house there is a small sheltered garden with lawn and herbaceous beds full of plants, and a path that leads to a small young orchard with productive trees.
This is a fundraising event for the open garden charity Scotland's Gardens Scheme which raises money for hundreds of local charities.
