Red Arrows double display for Scotland's largest airshow
This is the first time they have planned a double display at the seafront event.
The Red Arrows are to make a double appearance at the largest Scottish International Airshow.
In the 50 years since the Ayr seafront airshow has been running, this is the first time they have planned a double display.
This announcement is part of a large line-up of aerobatic displays set up for the weekend event in September.
Last year's event broke visitor records by attracting an estimated 150,000 visitors over the two days.
"EventScotland is delighted to be continuing its support of the Scottish International Airshow, particularly in this special 100th anniversary year of the RAF," said Paul Bush OBE, VisitScotland's director of events.
"Scotland is the perfect stage for events and the double appearance of the Red Arrows will definitely be one of the highlights of this fun family day out.
"I am personally very excited to see what I consider to be our best line-up yet."
