Pest control called over rat infestation at retail park
Dozens of rodents were seen hanging around bins at the West End Retail Park in Glasgow.
Pest controllers have been called out to deal with a rat infestation at a Glasgow shopping centre.
Dozens of rodents were seen congregating around recycling bins at the West End Retail Park, off Crow Road, in the Partick area, earlier this week.
The bins have been removed and the centre's managers said they have paid for teams to take care of the infestation.
A spokeswoman for Aberdeen Standard Investments said: "We've been working with the council to try and resolve the litter problem, including paying for teams to clean around the recycling bins and carry out pest control.
"As these measures don't seem to have worked, we've asked the council to remove the bins straight away.
"Keeping the shopping park clean and safe remains our top priority."
