Motorists face disruption during A78 resurfacing works
Diversions will be in place for four nights starting on Monday, March 5.
Motorists are facing disruption on the A78 near Kilwinning for resurfacing works.
Over four nights from March 5, Scotland TranServ will resurface one kilometre of the A78 northbound carriageway from the A78/A737 overbridge to rail bridge.
Between 8pm each night and 6am the following morning, there will be a series of road cosures.
These overnight closures will be in place from Eglinton Interchange roundabout on slip to the A78 rail bridge.
A series of diversions will be in place.
Scotland TranServ's principal design engineer, Alan Murray, said: "In order to keep disruption to an absolute minimum for commuters and freight traffic, work has been programmed for overnights.
"This important resurfacing work will deliver long-term improvements to this stretch of our network.
"Over the next few months we will be outlining a series of road surface improvements for the A78 and other trunk roads across Ayrshire."
These works are dependent on Monday's weather.
