Ice hockey player raises almost £5000 for maternity unit

An ice hockey player from Ayr has raised almost £5000 for Ayrshire Maternity Unit's Neonatal Unit (NNU).
Ross Andreucci, a player for Kilmarnock Storm and in the Scottish National League, raised just under £2000 after organising a charity ice hockey match which brought together players from different leagues.
Mr Andreucci's daughter Millie was born prematurely at just 24 weeks gestation in 2016, and spent four and a half months in the NNU.
He raised more than £3000 for the unit in 2016 and plans to hold charity events yearly.
Clinical midwife manager, Caroline Blake, said: "We are very touched by this donation and would like to extend a huge thanks to Ross for all his efforts, and for his intention to hold this event every year."
