Magic - A Kind of ELO: Gaiety Theatre, Carrick Street, Ayr
A tribute to the legendary songs of ELO.
Magic have augmented their usual five piece line up with the addition of Dave Chapman, a keyboard player who reproduces the complex orchestral sounds of the ELO repertoire.
Lachlan Goudie: Shipyard: The Scottish Maritime Museum, 6 Gottries Road, Harbourside, Irvine
An exhibition of paintings and drawings of shipyards of the Clyde and Forth.
Shipyard draws on hundreds of images Goudie created at Scotstoun, Govan and Rosyth over a seven-year study and features oil paintings, pen and ink drawings, sculptures and charcoal portraits.
Goudie's work chronicles the construction of the next generation of Britain's navy - the world-leading Type 45 Destroyers and the monolithic Queen Elizabeth class aircraft carriers - as well as capturing the people who work to create these giants.
