Man suffers life-changing injuries in 'brutal' gang attack
The 47-year-old was found seriously injured in North Lanarkshire on Friday.
A man has been left with life-changing injuries after being attacked by a group of men in a "callous and brutal" assault.
The 47-year-old was found seriously injured on North Dryburgh Road in Wishaw, North Lanarkshire, shortly before midnight on Friday.
A BMW was found crashed into a wall on the next street and a white Mercedes had been set on fire nearby.
Police believe the vehicles are linked to the attack.
Detective inspector Kenny Dalrymple said: "The attack on this man was callous and brutal and has left him with serious injuries. It is vital that we find those responsible.
"We are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area around the time of the incident and seen either of the cars, or a group of people running from the area.
"Anyone with any information, no matter how insignificant it may have seemed at the time, to come forward and contact us."
