Police are looking to trace a teenager who was punched twice in the face at a train station.

The victim was attacked at Dumbarton Central station just after 9pm on Friday.

Police said he had been standing on a platform with a friend when another teenager approached him and punched him twice in the face.

A concerned passenger reported the incident by sending a text to British Transport Police.

However, the victim has not yet contacted police and officers are now urging him to come forward.

The suspect was 15 or 16 and had short dark hair. He had a slim build and wore jeans and a black top.

Anyone with information has been asked to contact BTP by sending a text to 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40.
