Nominations are open for the North Ayrshire Provost's Civic Pride Awards 2018.

Residents are encouraged to nominate an individual or group that makes a difference to the local community.

There are five award categories: young citizen of the year, citizen of the year, arts and culture and sports.

Nominations will be shortlisted by the provost and judging panel and there will be three finalists in each category.

The public will then vote for the person or group that they believe is most deserving of an award.

Finalists will be invited to attend the provost's Civic Pride Awards Charity Dinner on March 16 when the winners will be announced.

The closing date for nominations is noon on January 25.
