Brick Flicks: The McKechnie Institute, Dalrymple Street, Girvan

An exhibition of some of the most iconic and memorable film moments of all time recreated by LEGO artist Warren Elsmore.

Each familiar scene has been carefully photographed to mimic the staging and lighting of the original movie, but with the scenery, actors and actresses recreated with everyone's favourite building blocks.

Lachlan Goudie: Shipyard: The Scottish Maritime Museum, 6 Gottries Road, Harbourside, Irvine

An exhibition of paintings and drawings of shipyards of the Clyde and Forth.

Shipyard draws on hundreds of images Goudie created at Scotstoun, Govan and Rosyth over a seven-year study and features oil paintings, pen and ink drawings, sculptures and charcoal portraits.

Goudie's work chronicles the construction of the next generation of Britain's navy - the world-leading Type 45 Destroyers and the monolithic Queen Elizabeth class aircraft carriers - as well as capturing the people who work to create these giants.
