Journeys In Landscape: An Exhibition Of Work By Suzanne Le Blanc: Harbour Arts Centre, Irvine

An exhibition combining old work with new to explore landscape themes in paint, mixed media and pastels, with supporting charcoal sketches.

Suzanne's work takes inspiration from the landscape, the sea, weather and human intervention by using recollections and personal associations to capture an atmosphere, a moment in time and a memory.

Lachlan Goudie: Shipyard: The Scottish Maritime Museum, 6 Gottries Road, Harbourside, Irvine

An exhibition of paintings and drawings of shipyards of the Clyde and Forth.

Shipyard draws on hundreds of images Goudie created at Scotstoun, Govan and Rosyth over a seven-year study and features oil paintings, pen and ink drawings, sculptures and charcoal portraits.

Goudie's work chronicles the construction of the next generation of Britain's navy - the world-leading Type 45 Destroyers and the monolithic Queen Elizabeth class aircraft carriers - as well as capturing the people who work to create these giants.

There's also a touch of romance with Kreisler's love songs.
