Cafes and restaurants open their doors on Christmas Day
Townhead Cafe and Unity Grill will be serving up meals for people who need it.
Cafes and restaurants are opening their doors in Ayrshire on Christmas day to give free meals to people that have nowhere else to go.
Townhead Cafe in Stevenston is holding two Christmas dinner sessions for elderly people, the first between noon and 2pm and the second between 2pm and 4pm.
Unity Grill in Ayr is opening its doors ahead of its official launch to serve Christmas lunch for up to 50 people in the community.
On a crowdfunding page created to build funds to paint and decorate the building in time for the big day, they said: "Christmas is a wonderful time of year filled with family, friends and feasts. Sadly this isn't true for everyone in our community.
"At Unity Grill we want to provide a welcome space and a delicious Christmas dinner for those in our community who find themselves struggling or alone."
