Festive parade at Kilmarnock Christmas lights switch-on
There will be two stages of live entertainment and a Christmas craft market.
The centre of Kilmarnock will be filled with festivities on Sunday night with the switch-on of the Christmas lights.
There will be two stages of live entertainment, a procession of light, illuminated drummers, stilt walkers and a Christmas craft market.
In the afternoon there will be a craft zone at the Palace Theatre for the children, princesses and superheroes who will be wandering around throughout the day.
Colin McArdle will host the main stage and there will be a performance by former X-Factor contestant Ryan Lawrie.
There will be a mass karaoke in the evening to get the audience involved and the lights will be switched on by local young carers.
Town centre manager Fiona Nicolson said: "The Spark! Procession promises to be a great highlight - a first for Kilmarnock, and together with the illuminated stilt walkers and local children it will be a spectacular procession accentuated by light projections in King Street provided by Ayrshire College.
"There's so much going on, it showcases so much local talent and the great thing is every year we find more and more people come along to support and enjoy this special event."
