Driver arrested after ploughing BMW into garden gate
Emergency services were called to the scene in Pollok, Glasgow, on Friday night.
A man has been arrested after he smashed his car into the gate of a residential garden in Glasgow.
Emergency services were called to reports that a BMW had crashed into a garden on Linthaugh Road, Pollok, at around 11.25pm on Friday.
Eyewitness Danny Mclay, who lives nearby, said: "I heard a long skid and a bang and the car was embedded into my neighbour's front garden gate."
Images provided to STV News show at least a dozen police officers and firefighters in attendance at the scene.
Police confirmed that a man had been arrested over alleged road traffic offences.
A spokeswoman for the force said: "At around 11.25pm on Friday, police and emergency services were called to reports of a BMW that had crashed into the garden of a house.
"One man has been arrested in connection with road traffic offences."
