A North Ayrshire Council employee has been named Scotland's HR officer of the year at an awards ceremony.
Resourcing team supervisor Kirsty Collins picked up the prize at the HR Network Awards last Thursday night.
They are designed to recognise, acknowledge and reward the champions of the Scottish HR profession.
Ms Collins has been with the council since 2012, working in a range of services before progressing to team supervisor for the HR resourcing team in 2014.
She played an active role in the transformation of the council's recruitment process as well as developing new processes which have been recognised by the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities as sector leading.
The council was shortlisted in HR team of the year, learning and development award of the year and HR officer of the year.
Chief executive Elma Murray said: "We are extremely lucky to have such inspiring and passionate staff like Kirsty amidst our ranks, who are committed to delivering the best services for our communities and customers.
"I am delighted for Kirsty, she truly deserves this special recognition."
Council leader Joe Cullinane said: "Kirsty's award is a fantastic endorsement of the level of excellence that exists across this Council.
"It demonstrates the mind-set of staff who are empowered to take ownership of their ideas and who are unafraid to try something new."
