Ceremonies will be held across Ayrshire to mark Remembrance Day on Sunday.

There will be a two-minute silence during morning service at the Auld Kirk of Ayr, which will be attended by the lord lieutenant of Ayrshire, the provost of South Ayrshire, MPs, MSPs, representatives of the armed forces and other serving officers.

Similar remembrance ceremonies will also take place at the war memorials in Troon, Prestick, Maybole and Girvan.

Other services will take place in Auchinleck, Catrine, Cumnock and Kilmarnock.

All remembrance ceremonies are free and open for anyone to attend.
