Clutha helicopter disaster survivors have been given £1.3m in compensation.

Ten people were killed and 11 seriously injured when a police helicopter crashed into the Glasgow bar in November 2013.

Ten victims have now been paid sums between £5000 and £600,000 by helicopter operator Babcock, formerly known as Bond.

Mark Gibson, a partner at legal firm Digby Brown, said: "No amount of money can prevent the life-changing events of that night in 2013.

"But compensation does give these individuals the means to get their lives back on track so they can focus on recovering with their loved ones."

An investigation into the cause of the crash found the engines had flamed out as a result of problems with its fuel supply.
