Residents have voted on plans for town centre regeneration

Kilmarnock residents had their say on new plans to enhance the town centre as part of a major regeneration project.
East Ayrshire Council presented plans at a public consultation and gave members of the community a chance to vote on various proposals.
Landscape architectural company TGP submitted plans focusing on the Foregate, Sandbed Street, an extension of the shopping area and John Finnie Street embankment.
East Ayrshire Council Regeneration Project Officer, John Semple said: "The identified Foregate square area, John Finnie Street, Sandbed Street which is one on the oldest streets in Kilmarnock and that these had to be brought back into a better standard.
"There will be a report produced as a result of the consultation that's been under taken.
"The consultants will go away and come back with a final report which will contain much more details of how they would foresee the recommendations that the community has made to us taken forward."
