Lost WWII infantry medal found down back of taxi seat
The medal was discovered when the taxi was being cleaned in Oban on Saturday.
A lost Second World War medal has been found down the back of a taxi seat.
The award is believed to have been given to a private serving in the Australian infantry.
However, its current owner is unknown and police have asked anyone with any information to contact them.
It was found while the taxi was being cleaned on Saturday and handed into Oban Police Station.
The medal may have been lost up to three weeks ago, police said.
It is known as the 1939-1945 Star and was awarded to subjects of the Commonwealth who fought in the Second World War.
