Police were called to the scene by Clyde Street at about 4.05pm on Friday.
Ambulance and fire crews are also in attendance.
Officers remain at the on site and the incident is ongoing.
A police spokesperson said: "At around 4.05pm emergency services attended the River Clyde at Clyde Street after reports of a man jumping in the water.
"The incident is ongoing."
