A large section of the M8 has reopened after police were dealing with an ongoing incident.

Reports of a man lying on an overhead gantry closed off all eight lanes of the M8 while the police dealt with the incident.

Traffic Scotland is still advising motorists to avoid the area if possible as traffic is expected to remain busy for some time.
