Fresh appeal to trace man missing for more than a year
Samuel Townsley, 28, was last seen on Wednesday, October 19 2016 in Glasgow.
Police have made a fresh appeal for a man who has been missing for more than a year.
Samuel Townsley, 28, was last seen on Wednesday, October 19, 2016, on Union Street in Glasgow.
He is white, 5ft 3in and of stocky build with short brown hair and scars on his forehead.
Although Samuel had no fixed address, he was known to travel around the central belt of Scotland.
His father, from Irvine, is concerned for his son's welfare and has joined officers in the new appeal.
Chief inspector Brian Shaw from Irvine police office said: "Samuel's family are distraught by his disappearance and this is a very upsetting time for them.
"Although he isn't always in regular contact with his family, he does eventually get in touch, however, they are extremely worried as a year has now passed without any contact from him, which is totally out of character.
"Despite the passage of time, we continue to carry out enquiries to trace him, and will follow up any sightings of Samuel.
"I would like to again appeal to anyone with any information on his whereabouts to contact Irvine Police Office via 101."
