A man was seriously injured after he jumped from a window during a police investigation.

Officers were attending a flat in King's Park Road, Glasgow, around 7.50am on Tuesday when the 34-year-old jumped out of a window and landed heavily on the ground.

Ambulance staff were called and the man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University for treatment.

Staff at the hospital described his condition as serious.

A police spokeswoman said enquiries were continuing.
