Heroin with a street value of £364,000 has been seized in a raid on a flat in the east end of Glasgow.

Police Scotland confirmed two men, aged 34 and 38, were arrested as a result of the operation on Tobago Street in Calton.

The property was targeted at around 7pm on Thursday and seven kilos of the Class A drug were recovered.

The men are expected to appear before Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday.

Detective inspector Fergus Hutcheson said: "This recovery will no doubt cause considerable disruption to the network of those involved in this type of criminal activity.

"Ridding our communities of drugs remains a high priority for us and we will continue to target those involved."

Anyone with information about drugs in their community is asked to contact 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
