Residents encouraged to support local community groups
Up to £45,000 is available and groups can be funded up to £1,000 for local projects.
South Ayrshire residents are being encouraged to support local community groups by voting for their favourites.
Building on the success of previous community funding decision days, 30 groups will display ideas this weekend for community projects to local people who will vote to award funding.
Local authorities hope this will encourage people to get actively involved in decision-making through the process, known as participatory budgeting.
Up to £45,000 is available and groups can be funded up to £1000 for local projects.
Voting is open to anyone who lives, works, volunteers or studies in Ayr North Harbour, Wallacetown, Newton South, Dalmilling, Craigie, Lochside, Braehead, Whitletts, Annbank, Mossblown, and Tarbolton.
A decision day event takes place at the new Ayr Academy on Saturday, October 7, between 10am and noon.
People looking to take part will have to register before the event.
