Beith's impressive unbeaten start to the West Super Premier Division season was brought to an end by neighbours Kilbirnie Ladeside.

The visitors came out top in a five-goal thriller at Bellsdale Park, coming from a goal down to win 3-2.

Beith's Ryan Docherty was red-carded in the second half.

Elsewhere, Auchinleck Talbot were in rampant form as they fired five past Arthurlie without reply.

Jamie Glasgow struck twice for the visitors, with Calvin Kemp, Graham Wilson and Gordon Pope also on the scoresheet for Tommy Sloan's side.

The week's other ties all ended 1-0, with Kilwinning Rangers beating visitors Kirkintilloch Rob Roy, Glenafton triumphing over Pollock, Girvan winning at home against Hurlford and Cumnock defeated away at Clydebank.
