Van driver dies following road crash in Renfrewshire
Child travelling in the van was uninjured in the crash in Johnstone.
A man has died following a one-vehicle crash in Renfrewshire on Saturday.
At around 7.50pm, a 54-year-old man was driving a white Ford Transit van on Barochan Road, Johnstone when the vehicle collided with a wall.
Emergency services attended and the driver was taken by ambulance to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley, where he was pronounced dead.
A young child, who was a passenger in the van, was uninjured.
Officers at the Divisional Road Policing Unit based at Greenock are continuing their enquiries into the incident.
One line of enquiry is that the driver may have taken ill at the wheel, however any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact Police on 101.
