Scotland's mental health minister has officially opened a new centre in Ayrshire.

Maureen Watt toured Woodland View and praised the local health authority's approach to combating stigma around mental health.

The new £46m facility at Ayrshire Central Hospital in Irvine focuses both on elderly and acute patients.

Pupils from Glebe Primary were on hand at the centre's official unveiling on Tuesday to display artwork created for the opening gallery.
