Woman's cries for help during violent attack on train
The 53-year-old was travelling with a man when he pulled her hair and hit her.
Passengers were forced to intervene as a woman screamed for help during an attack on a train.
A man assaulted the woman, who he was travelling with, by pulling her hair, hitting her and jumping on top of her on a service between Glasgow Central and Ayr on Sunday, July 30.
British Transport Police (BTP) said the attack on the 53-year-old took place around 8pm between Central station and Paisley Gilmour Street.
They are appealing for anyone who may be able to help identify the man to come forward.
He is tall, in his late 40s and was wearing a red jacket.
