Ayrshire rail passengers face disruption for nine days
Track maintenance will take place between Kilmarnock and Gretna.
Rail users may experience delays as track maintenance work is carried out between Kilmarnock and Gretna.
The work is scheduled to start on Saturday, July 15 and last nine days.
A replacement bus service will run from Kilmarnok to Carlisle during this time.
Stations at Auchinleck, New Cumnock and Dumfries will all be affected while the update takes place.
Scotrail urge passengers to check their journey before they travel and plan ahead as journey times will be longer and replacement buses may run earlier or later than advertised train times.
