Growing concerns for man missing for more than a week
Police are re-appealing for vulnerable missing man in the Irvine area.
Concerns are growing for a vulnerable man who is missing from hospital.
Police are re-appealing for information about 47-year-old Gordon Wilson, who went missing from Irvine more than a week ago.
He described as white, 5ft 8in, of slim build, with thinning shoulder length greying hair.
When last seen, he was wearing blue jeans, a blue jumper with a hood and grey trainers with white soles.
Sergeant Billy Campbell said:"He hasn't taken any of his medication with him so, as time passes, police are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.
"He is known to travel throughout Scotland hitchhiking or on foot, heading as far as the Highlands.
"When he heads off on these treks, he sometimes sleeps outside but not with camping equipment so has been known to use golf courses or parks to bed down for the night.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Irvine Police Station via 101.
