A 28-year-old man was seriously injured after falling from a bridge into the River Clyde.

Emergency services were called to Glasgow's Tradeston Bridge -  known as the Squiggly Bridge - at 3.30am on Monday.

The man who fell was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary and later transferred to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

It is not clear what caused his fall but investigations are continuing.

The bridge was cordoned off at both ends on Monday morning.
