A man was chased by a group of men before being punched and kicked to the floor in Glasgow.

The attack happened on Househillwood Road, Pollok, at 1.55pm on Monday.

A 26-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital with facial injuries.

The suspects are described as being in their 20s with one wearing a hooded top and the other wearing a grey T-shirt and black shorts.

Detective constable Stephen Walker at Govan CID said: "We are currently viewing CCTV and speaking to local people in the area however at this time we have no apparent motive for this attack.

"I would like to speak to a man who we can see on CCTV that was walking nearby to where the incident took place and urge him to contact police immediately."
