Man trapped in crash between van and lorry on the A9
The 35-year-old is in a serious condition in hospital after the incident near Dunblane.
A man was trapped after a crash involving a lorry and a van on the A9.
The collision happened at 9.30am on the busy route at Balhaldie near Dunblane on Monday and the road has been closed heading northbound towards Perth.
The man, 35, has been taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary by air ambulance in a serious condition.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "There is a man who is having to be removed from one of the vehicles.
"He is conscious and breathing."
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman added: "We dispatched two ambulances, the trauma team, our helimed air ambulance and a manager to the incident.
"One male patient in his 30s was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary by air ambulance."
