A woman who was allegedly murdered in Paisley has been named as a charity worker.
Officers confirmed Alyson Watt, 52, died at the scene of the incident on Penilee Road on Friday evening.
A 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital in a critical condition following an alleged murder bid in the incident.
Ms Watt worked at children's charity Barnardo's Scotland and colleagues have paid tribute to her.
The charity's director Martin Crewe said: "We are shocked and deeply saddened to learn of the death of our colleague Alyson Watt, who was a much-valued and long-standing member of staff in Paisley.
"Our thoughts are with all those affected by this tragedy and we are continuing to support police with their enquiries."
Police had launched an investigation into Ms Watt's death, which they are treating as murder, while the alleged attack on the teenager is said by officers to be an attempted murder.
