A 20-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly assaulting another man in a hospital car park before stealing his Audi A4.

The incident reportedly happened at Monklands Hospital, Airdrie, on Tuesday, May 9.

The victim was said to have been hit on the leg with a weapon before his Audi was stolen.

His car was later found more than five miles away in Easterhouse.

A police spokesman said: "A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and a full report will be sent to the procurator fiscal."
