Man seriously injured during 'gang attack' at flat

A man has been seriously injured during an alleged gang attack.
The attack took place in a flat on Sinclair Street in Greenock, Inverclyde, in the early hours of Sunday when the 22-year-old was reportedly assaulted by a group of up to four men armed with bladed weapons.
He was taken to hospital soon after and has since received surgery for injuries to his head and arms.
A 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesman confirmed the arrest and said enquires are ongoing.
He said: "At around 4.30am on Sunday, May 14, police and emergency services responded to reports of a 22-year-old man having been seriously assaulted within a flat in Sinclair Street, Greenock.
"He was taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
"A 28-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal."
